How far can I drive on my Road Hero?

There is no maximum distance, however a Road Hero should be used as a temporary measure to get home or to your nearest garage.

What is the speed limit of my Road Hero?

The Road Hero wheel is restricted to 50mph/80kmh.


How do I fit my Road Hero?

When changing a wheel, we recommend following the manufacturer's instructions as all vehicles have varying restrictions.


Will my Road Hero affect my car's handling?

Handling will be different as the Road Hero has a much skinnier tyre compared to a standard wheel.


What does PCD and Offset mean?

PCD stands for Pitch Circle Diameter and is the diameter of the circle that passes by the centre of the bolts. The offset of a wheel is the measurement of its hub mounting to the centre of the wheel.


Will my Road Hero affect my TPMS?

Yes. Road Heros are not fitted with TPMS, so will still leave warning lights illuminated on the dash.


Will my Road Hero fit in the spare wheel well of my car?

We cannot guarantee that all Road Heros will fit into a vehicles wheel well, so we provide a protective bag for safe storage.


Why doesn't my Road Hero have tyre labelling?

Temporary-use tyres do not require tyre labelling.


Does my Road Hero come with a warranty?

Life-time warranty against manufacturing defects. Does not cover accidental damage or misuse.


Will my breakdown service fit this item?

Most reputable breakdown companies will fit a space-saver wheel however, we recommend checking before making a journey.


Should I fit my original bolts?

If your kit is not supplied with wheel bolts, you may use your existing ones. However, if you are provided with fixings (Nuts/bolts) you must use them instead.


Can I tow whilst using my Road Hero?

If you are towing a caravan or trailer, then it is usually ok to fit a Road Hero however, we strongly recommend checking your vehicle manufacturer handbook, as there may be vehicle-specific advice.
